American Heritage welcomes members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as those in our community who seek the same LDS family values. All enrolled students are expected to adhere to the school’s standards and ideals of Christian civility and kindness. American Heritage School’s curriculum and Honor Code create a learning atmosphere consistent with the values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. ADMISSIONS PROCESS Application Process Interested families should review the school’s admission process , which begins by making a formal inquiry online . Instructions are emailed to you automatically when you make a formal inquiry. Interviews and new-student assessments are on-going. Summer assessment days are June 14, July 6, and August 5, 2023. INQUIRE HERE APPLICATION PROCESS Tuition American Heritage School is more affordable than most private schools in Utah ( privateschoolreview.com ). An American Heritage education is available to most every family, thanks to our many generous donors. If you would like to sponsor a student at American Heritage School, please donate to our annual scholarship fund . American Heritage tuition is based on a 12-month payment plan as illustrated in the graph below . Payment amount will vary depending on month of enrollment. MORE ABOUT FINANCIAL AID Location The new campus is located at 142 West 200 North within walking distance of Historic Temple Square and is easily accessible by way of mass transit. The school has leased the property from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints The school features classrooms, science labs, an art studio, music studio, performance hall and recreation hall. Elizabeth Henderson Parent My children love this school! I have an 11th grade boy and a 9th grade girl. They were in public school until the 8th and 10th grade. I was not happy with what was being taught in the public school, so I pulled them out. They thank me still, for putting them in this school, and considering their age that speaks volumes to me. I love this school. Lindy Taylor Parent Three of my four children have spent time in this school, and all of them have loved it. They still teach cursive and the classics and traditional math (!) with actual text books that you don’t have to read a thousand times and finally discover they aren’t trying to tell you how to do it, but how to figure it out- and you may never know if you actually figured it out. (Can you tell I’ve had it with the new” math programs that have infiltrated our educational system?) Even if you can only afford a year here and there, as with 2 of my kids, that year can make a HUGE difference in their lives! The school is so much more than good methodology. They teach with power and with discernment and with the Spirit of the Lord. If you want a very clear cut and pure (as pure as humans can attain) educational experience that is traditional and thorough and teaches the kids to reach a little higher, this is the right choice for you.
